Privacy
The short version: one cookie, no location trail, moderated photos, and you can take everything back.
The cookie
We set one first-party cookie on your device. It holds a random identifier that keeps your passport (your stamps, points, and draw entries) attached to your phone, and helps us spot fraud. It is not an advertising cookie, it is not shared with anyone, and it does not follow you around the internet.
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) this kind of cookie needs clear notice, which is what this page and the note in our footer are. No third-party advertising pixel runs without asking you first, and saying no never blocks a stamp.
Location
- We never store your coordinates. If you choose to verify a check-in with GPS, we compute your distance from the shop, keep that single number, and discard the location itself.
- Location is never required to stamp or to score.
- Nothing you do is ever plotted on a public map. Map dots are shops' own registered positions. Never a person's.
Photos
- Every photo is reviewed before it is published to the wall, and every published photo has a report control.
- Camera metadata (including any embedded GPS) is stripped the moment a photo is uploaded.
- Please don't photograph other customers without asking.
- Photos are deleted 90 days after the festival unless you choose to keep them.
We ask for an email only to secure your passport and, if you opt in, to tell you about the festival. Anything we send follows Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and unsubscribing always works in one tap.
Under 18
We ask for a birth year at account creation. If you're under 16 you can play fully (every stamp counts, every score stands) but you won't have a public handle and your photos never appear on the public wall. Prizes that involve venue entry need a parent or guardian.
Your data, your call
Ask us and we'll export everything tied to your passport, or delete it. Deletion is real: it removes your stamps, awards, draw entries, and photos, including from storage. We keep only anonymous totals, like how many stamps a town had.
